John Horn, Jr.'s papers consist of correspondence relating to information he had requested for Canada first about various persons and letters collected for their autograph value. Vennor's papers relate mostly to his private and professional affairs, including his career in the Geological Survey of Canada. Miscellaneous papers include single items and small groups of letters relating to various aspects of Canadian history, including Jesuit missions, the Hudson's Bay Company (journal, minutes from council meetings, etc.), the Seven Years' War, the American Revolutionary era, and the War of 1812.
